EDA Grant Award

BGSU's Center for Regional Development, in conjunction with their Rural Universities Consortium partner Ohio University, applied for and won an award during this competitive cycle. The award of $800,000 is for a five year program period that started in September 2011. The five year award is an increase from past competitive rounds that awarded on three year project periods. The award provides funding for a duel focus approach that combines entrepreneurial and commercialization support designed to fill gaps in the region with operational assistance targeted to entrepreneurs and small businesses not served by other regional programs and applied research that addresses a fundamental need in the region for data-driven support decision-making for regional economic and workforce development professionals.
